Push Notification Service Guide
Overview
The Push Notification Service allows you to send notifications to your app users on both Android and iOS devices. You can send notifications to either individual users or broadcast to all users of your app.
Types of Notifications
1. Broadcast to Event
Sends notifications to all users attending a specific event
Can target Android users, iOS users, or both
Ideal for event-wide announcements, updates, or reminders
2. Platform Selection
You have three options for targeting platforms:
All Platforms: Sends to both Android and iOS users (recommended for most cases)
Android Only: Targets only Android device users
iOS Only: Targets only iOS device users
Sending a Notification
Step 1: Choose Notification Type
Navigate to “New Push Notification”
Select “Broadcast to Event” from the Notification Type dropdown
Step 2: Select Platform
Choose your target platform:
All Platforms
Android Only
iOS Only
Step 3: Compose Your Message
Title (Required)
Keep it short and clear
Maximum 50 characters
Example: “Pull down to refresh for updates”
Message (Required)
Write your main notification content
Be concise but informative
Maximum 200 characters
Example: “Welcome to the Convention 2024 app! Swipe down on the home screen to refresh and get the latest updates.”

Limit notifications to important updates
Avoid sending multiple notifications in quick succession
Group related updates into a single notification
Expected Behavior
After sending, users might need to pull down to refresh their app to see updates
There may be a slight delay (30-60 seconds) for large broadcasts
You’ll receive confirmation once the notification is sent
Tracking Your Notification
After sending a notification, you can track its status:
Status Types
SUCCESS: Successfully delivered to all intended recipients
PARTIAL_SUCCESS: Delivered to some but not all recipients
FAILED: Unable to deliver to any recipients
IN_PROGRESS: Currently being sent
Viewing Results
Total number of processed messages
Success rate percentage
Any error messages if applicable

Common Issues and Solutions
“No valid push tokens found”
Ensure users have allowed notifications in their app settings
Verify the correct platform selection
Notification not received
Ask users to pull down to refresh their app
Check if users have notifications enabled
